Today on this 2012 GMC Sierra, were going to install part number HL56801 from Husky Liners. These are front mud inaudible. Our first step is to install the inaudible protection film. This is installed it along the edge right here. Well clean off the body work area based on the solution of 1 pint water with four drops of liquid dish washing detergent. Take the film, peel it loose back a little bit, and keep everything wet.
Slide it into place and this bottom edge will go all the way to the back edge of the body work. Once youre happy with the placement of it, use a squeegee to get rid of all the water and bubbles underneath the protective film. We maintain at least 1/8 of an inch distance between the corner and the edge of the protective film. Well go ahead and just let it dry on its own. Now with the protective film dried up, well go ahead and remove the factory hardware for the inner inaudible liner.
Theres one screw, two plastic rivets here and here. Well remove the plastic rivets. Were going to install these U-clips here on the inside and well do the same thing with this hole here. Theres a slot that well slide the U-clip through. The existing screw that was in the inaudible will be replaced with this one here because the hardware have two different sizes.
Just make sure you use the right one at the right spot. When installing the mud inaudible make sure that this thinner liner fits in the slot and push into place. Well re-install the first fastener right here. Well snug up just enough to hold everything in place. Do not tighten it.
Well take the hardware and well go ahead and re-install the one at the bottom. Well double check our fit and well go ahead and tighten down these fasteners. And then theres one more hole were going to drill the inaudible and install the fastener. With the passengers side installed, well go ahead and repeat the same process over onto the drivers side. And with that were finished with part number HL56801 from Husky Liners on our 2012 GMC Sierra.
