

Today on our 2012 Ford F-150, were going to be test fitting the Draw-Tite Ball Mount, part number 2923. But before we can test fit our ball mount, first we want to measure the hitch height of our truck. To measure the hitch height, well measure from the ground to the inside top edge of our receiver tube. Our hitch height measures 18-1/2 inches. Now, well test fit the drawbar. First, well place it in the drop position.
Well insert the shank into the receiver tube of our hitch and secure with the pin and clip. From the ground to the top of our ball platform in the drop position, we measured 16-1/2 inches. Now, well flip it over and repeat the same procedure in the rise position. In the rise position from the ground to the top of our ball platform, we measured 19-1/4 inches. The ball mount has a capacity of 6000 pounds gross towing weight and 600 pounds tongue weight.
