Today on our 2012 Ford F-150 Four Door we're going to show you the Curt Tri-Ball Mount, part number C45001. This is the ball mount with three different ball sizes fixed to it. A 1-7/8 inch, a 2-inch and a 2-5/16 inch ball. But before we can test fit our ball mount, first we want to measure the hitch height of our truck. To measure the hitch height we'll measure from the ground to the inside top edge of our receiver tube. Our hitch height measures 18-1/2 inches.
When we install the ball mount to use the 2-5/16 ball we measure 7 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball. When we flip it over you see that the two-inch ball or the 1-7/8 inch ball, we measure 8-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball. There is no rise or drop on this ball mount so whatever your hitch height measurement is going to be is what the ball height will be. And that's it for our test fit of the current tri-ball mount, part number C45001.
