Today on our 2010 Subaru Forester, well test-fitting part number C18145. This is the Curt 20x48 Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4 and 2-inch Hitches. Now, weve already removed the included adapter for the 2-inch hitch, so were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements.
From the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is 1/4 inch. The cargo carrier will add 19-3/4 inches of overall length to your vehicle. Now the ground clearance at the back of the cargo carrier is a 12-1/4 inches. The exhaust on this vehicle does exit both the drivers and passengers side here at the bumper. It is approximately 7-1/2 inches from the cargo carriers platform.
