Installation of a Trailer Hitch on a 2007 Jeep Laredo 4X4


First step involves getting access to the bumper, which involves removing the spare tire, which gives you more working room. Next we take off these rivets here and here which are on each side. Take those down and pull the bumper cover back a little bit so well have working room for our hitch. The next two rows we take out will give us access to the back side of the bumper even more. So we take out this one and there will be one on the corresponding

Trailer Hitch Installation: The next step will be to mount the hitch up to the bumper which doubles as a hitch too. We mount it through these holes here and what will happen is the hitch will wrap around and well run our bolts through, pretty much that will be the most of it right there. The kit does come with extra washers that you can fit behind here if you have excessive play. We seem to be doing okay so well just leave it alone. Now that we have the bolts snugged down well go ahead and torque them down to there specified torque in the instructions

Now we have our hitch installed, now we reassemble the bumper with the rivets in reverse order. Aside from putting our spare tire back up, we are done with this install. All that is needed now is the
