Today we are going to install part number 75506 from Draw Tite and we are installing it on a 2008 Ford F150. This also applies to Hidden Hitch part number 87418. We will show you where it attaches to the vehicle here. First off attach it by the bumper here by these 2 mounts here. Also by this this part of the frame. Then on the side of this part of the frame also. You do not have to take down the spare tire but we did just for clarity. Before we begin our install what we are going to do is take down this factory 4 pole because later it will be replaced with a different type of connector. But we are going to put it up just to show you how it would fit if you stuck with the 4 pole connector. Next we are going unbolt the bracket in order to remove it.
We will go ahead and install the hitch now. The back fasteners are what we will install first to connect the hitch to the frame. Leaving the first one loose enough to hold the hitch up we will install the second. Repeat for the opposite side. At this point now we can go ahead and snug up the bolts and give them their final torque. This hitch really only sets in one place so no need to shift it back and forth. That concludes our install of part number 75506 on our 2008 Ford F150.
