Installation of a Trailer Hitch on a 2004 Ford F150

Before we start the installation you want to be sure to lower the spare tire which allows more clearance when you put the hitch on. The attaching points are going to be located on the outside of the frame, the rearmost is going to be this hole here. There are also two forward attaching points here and here. Were going to go ahead and mount the hitch in place. Using the bolt leader provided were going to feed it through the hole and out the larger hole forward on the frame. You put the block on first, then thread the bolt onto the bolt leader and pull it through the frame. Were going to do the same for the other hole as well. Once youve completed the drivers side, do the same on the passengers side. Once we have all the bolts in place we can torque them down to 75 foot pounds. Once weve finished torquing on one side, repeat on the other. This concludes the installation of part # 87195 on a 2004 Ford F150.
