Today we are working on a 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan. We are going to install part number 87600 from Hidden Hitch. This will also be comparable to Draw-Tite part number 75658. Here are a couple of measurements that might be helpful when ing accessories for your hitch, such as a bike rack, a draw bar or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost point of your bumper is 3 inches. And from the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 15 inches. 0:32
Our hitch is going to be located in this area. First we will need to cut out the piece of the lower bumper. We are going to measure 6-1/2 inches over from the preformed groove. I will make a mark. Then we are going to cut it out with a utility knife. We got our piece cut out. Let us go ahead and pull it out and throw it away because this will not be reinstalled. You can see here are out mounting locations. This is where we are going to fasten our new hitch. The manufacturer already has weld nuts welded in to place that we are going to attach to. 1:04
We are going to be using the bolts and conical tooth washers that are supplied in the installation kit. The teeth on the washer are going to face up against the hitch. Now we are ready to go ahead and put our hitch in place. Now that we have everything finger tight, we can go ahead and run it down and then torque to specifications. That completes the installation of Hidden Hitch part number 87600 on our 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan.

Today on this 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan we are going to install part number 87600 from Hidden Hitch. This also applies to Draw-Tite part number 75658. The hitch is going to mount up right under this plastic here, so what it is going to require us to do is cut out a section of plastic right here. It is going to be approximately 6 1/ 2 inches wide and from groove to groove. So basically we will be cutting out a simple rectangle, and then our hitch will bolt up to the steel bumper behind the plastic. :28
