Today on this 2010 Toyota Prius, we are going to install part number 11469 from Curt. Okay looking up on our driver side of the vehicle, you see the tow hook right here. The hitch will actually replace where the tow hook is. On the passenger side of the vehicle we have got to take down this exhaust bracket right here and then the hitch will go in place and the exhaust bracket will go back on top of the hitch. Okay first we will start off by taking down the tie down bracket. Okay, we got that out of the way, now go on over to the passenger side and take down the exhaust bracket.
At this point we will go ahead and install the hitch. Work this in first, the plastic can hold it for us while we do the other side and then go back over to the driver side. This one gets kind of tight so a little patience might be required here. Go back to the other side and get that one started. Alright, we have got all of our bolts started, we will go ahead and snug them down and then torque them as specified in the instructions. With those simple few steps, our hitch is already installed. And there you have it for part number 11469 from Curt.
