Today we are going to install part number 13322 from Curt, and we are going to install this on a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. Looking at the passengers side, we are going to show you where the hitch mounts up. It is going to mount in this place right here, where the bolt is. Also, it will use this factory hole right here, and also it will use two holes in the bumper. We did a test fit on the hitch to make sure it clears the spare tire and if it does not, all you have got to do is lower the spare tire a little bit and move it out of the way. Next we will go ahead and just take off this rear bolt here - we will do one on each side - and then we can start installing the hitch.
We will install our hardware in the most forward hole in the frame. So we will put a plate on, and then our carriage bolt. Just it in like so, and then do the same thing on the passengers side. At this point, we can go ahead and start hanging the hitch from the hardware. Once we have put it in place, we just hang it by the bolts we just installed. All right, next we will do the bolts on the bumper here. Again, we left the whole hitch loose so we can move it around. Again, just getting these just started. Now we will go back to the frame and install the bolts there. We will install the new bolts the factory bolts got replaced. We will use the new hardware in the hitch. And again, sometimes this can be a little bit off, so you do want to leave this loose so you can move it around. Once you have all the bolts installed, go ahead and snug them down. All right, now you can go ahead and torque the bolts down as specified in the instructions. With that, that finishes the install of part number 13322 from Curt.
