Review of the Thule Professional Ladder Rack Tilting Load Stops
This is a tilting load stop that works on the Thule professional series ladder racks. This is a really handy device to have on your ladder rack as it does not require you grabbing a knob to move it down. You simply grab it and pull down towards you which loosens it like a ratchet. You slide it to where you want it and you push it back up and it locks into position. Well install a couple and show you how it works and how useful it can be. To install the tilting load stop, we have to take off this cap because it slides into this track right here. Pretty much its installed and to lock it into place you flip it up and it does not go anywhere. Now well repeat for the other side. Well show you a typical application for these load stops as they are designed to work with the existing load stops on the ladder rack.
Well throw on a ladder and secure it with the load stop, then well load up some pieces of steel to replicate holding two different objects safely on your rack. You can simply take the load stop and move where you want it and set it back next to it and secure it. Also the load stop does not have to be at an angle like this. You can put it at an angle on the top and push it over as well. Now well load our other objects next to the ladder. Now you can use your existing load stops to push against the TH345. As you can see we have two different size loads, one being shorter than the other. Although the load stop has really nice hooks on the ends here, it also has holes here in the middle so you can put a hook to tie down short load items. Were going to do it that way. In no time at all, its not going anywhere. Another good thing about the load stop is that obviously you have space between your two objects so they do not rub together or pop off the ladder rack. Do not forget to tie down both the front and the back. There you have it for TH345 the load stops for professional series ladder racks.
