Review of Swagman Anti Rattle Device and Hitch Stabilizer

Today we are going to show you part number 51942 from Swagman. This is their hitch stabilizer. Basically this is an anti rattle device that works in conjunction with your ballmount and your hitch. And we will show you how it works. This collar here slides over the ballmount and then what happens is you slide the ballmount into the hitch. Then you slide this assembly next to the hitch and it just threads down and presses up against the hitch which pulls the draw bar to one side and it does not allow it to move after that. Again first off you just slide it on the receiver tube first, just about a little over an inch. Just make sure it leaves a enough room to fit the end of the hitch here and the collar also. Go ahead and install it as normal. Now some draw bars are going to be a lot closer then others. The good thing about that is you just slide the anti rattle device as far back as you can and then tighten it up. Run it up until you have it snug and then try to move it around before tightening it even more. Once you can not move it anymore you have it tight enough and it keeps it from rattling.
