Review of a Swagman 4 Bike Adapter for a Wheel Mount Rack
Today we will be showing you S64651 from Swagman. This is their 2 bike wheel mount carrier with an extended bar for an additional 2 bikes. We wills tart from the bottom with the wheel wells. Which are adjustable by turning these 2 knobs. Moving on it also has these adjustable padded hooks which can be moved up and down by pushing the red buttons on the side. These hooks can also be removed if necessary. Next are these locking pins that control the motion of the 3 main bars. You simply pull them out and adjust the bar accordingly. When finished put the pins back in so that they stay where you want them. Now install our bike rack into a 2 inch receiver hitch. The pin and clip should hold it into place.
Next we will put our first bike on and show you how it fits on there. Once the bike is on adjust the wheel mounts accordingly for the best possible fit. When that is done we will bring up the main post and put it back into place. Now it is time to hook our bike into position. Be mindful of which hooks work best on which bikes. Seeing how this bike has a sloped frame we will use the longer hook. Too make sure it is secure we will give it a couple of good pushes down on the frame to tighten things up. We will repeat the process for the second bike starting with the wheel mount adjustments. Now we have this bar extension that can serve 2 purposes. 1 being used for an additional 2 bike carrier. Or being used to install the original rack so you have more clearance between your bikes and the vehicle. We will show you the 2nd rack would install. You slide it into position and line up the holes and push the pin through. You can also see these 2 bolts just need to be tighten to make sure it stays sturdy. After that repeat the process that you did for the 1st 2 bikes. Now 4 bikes are ready to move on own the road. There you have it for for part number S64651 from Swagman.
