Review of the SportRack 4 Bike Wheel Mount Rack
Today we are going to show you part number A30902 from SportRack. This is the SportRack 4 bike carrier of the wheel mounted variety. We will go ahead and install it on our vehicle here and show you how it works. It is a real nice set up that holds all your bikes nice and secure. We will go ahead and install our wheel mount bicycle rack and see how it works. Now we will go ahead and install our anti sway bolt. It simply threads in then we tighten it in so we can install our safety pin on the other side. Now we will go ahead and unfold the rack so we can install our bikes. It is pretty simple. We have a few pins to pull out and we will reinsert them to keep our arms in the working position. Do the same thing on the front half. We will cover a couple of quick points about this. The wheel mounts themselves are pretty easy to adjust. Just loosen this knob and you can adjust them as needed. As a back up, this rack comes with some safety straps as well.
Lets go ahead and install a bike and show you how it works. Again, it is really easy to do. We will undo our straps. Once you get the bike into the position you want, you can go ahead and pin your center post in. Then in here you can push your bike down onto it and clamp it into place with a top hook. Once you have that set the way you want it we can go ahead and install our safety straps. As you can see here we have our first bike on. It is always a good idea, no matter what rack you use, to put your heavier bike closest to the vehicle and then work your way out with the lighter bikes. A couple other quick notes about this is measurement wise is that from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest wheel mount measures 14 inches and the wheel mounts themselves are 2-1/2 inches wide by 14-1/2 inch long. As you can see 4 different bikes with variant frame designs actually fit nicely together on the bicycle rack. There you have it for part A30902 from SportRack, the 4 bike carrier rack for 2 inch receiver hitches.
