Review of the Rola Expandable Cargo Bag with 9.5 to 11.5 Cubic Feet

As you can see here, in this application here, we have it on a typical Rola cargo carrier on a 2 inch trailer hitch.This is a nice, good size waterproof bag that allows for easy transport of large items it be carried on your cargo carrier or trailer for that matter. It is good for anything that you can actually stuff in there if you need to keep it dry or keep it from getting dirty. As you can see, this bag comes with 6 tie down straps for easy attachment to your cargo carrier. We will go ahead and demonstrate one of the uses of it. And there you have it. Five more of those and the cargo bag will not go anywhere. Next we will cover the capacities on this. And I say capacities because this has two sizes available with it.

As you see it right now, the capacity is 9-1/2 cubic feet. With the expansion feature, you can actually increase that up to 11-1/2 cubic feet. And we will show you how that is done next. To expand the bag, you have to use this zipper right here. It looks like this is a zipper for a top, actually it is not. This is the zipper for the expansion. Do not think that any water is coming through here, why, because this is all sealed to the outside so there still will not be any water coming in. We undo that zipper all the way around and we can actually pop it up. As you can see here we gain approximately 5 inches of expansion right there alone. Now you have the capacity up to 11-1/2 cubic feet.

Moving onto the zipper that is on the inside here that actually gets to the inside, you can see its double protected between 2 different layers of vinyl here so the water would have a hard time getting up there let alone getting through the zipper. This makes it a very waterproof and at least weatherproof bag. To get to it you undo all these Velcro snaps. As you can see also there is a different material on the inside as opposed to the outside. It also comes equipped with a couple of little pockets on the inside to keep your small stuff from getting lost inside. There is a simple zipper here, it comes apart, and you have 2 little compartments, for easy access to whatever you need to put in there. There is one on the back side of the bag as well. Overall this is a nice heavy duty bag for the weekend warrior or even for light industrial use in some certain applications.
