Today we are going to show you part # 5800200 from Highland. This is part of their Lets Go Aero product line. What we have here is a nice heavy cargo carrier. It does come in kit form and it does require some assembly. It is not too bad. It comes with clear and easy to understand directions. This unit only fits on 2 inch receiver hitches. We will show you the actual measurements from the inside of the cargo carrier. The inside width of the cargo carrier is 32 inches and the inside length is 48 inches. One of the nice features is it has a built in anti-rattle feature which is similar to what you see on high end bike racks. Another nice thing is it has 2 different holes to give you clearance for different types of bumper and hitch combinations. We will go ahead and install our bolt pin, which simply goes in and threads into place.
Run it in as tight as you can and then use a 7/8 inch socket to tighten it up. Once that is tightened down you can install your safety pin. After it is tightened down, you can see it is a pretty tight assembly and actually becomes a part of the truck. It is very generous in the width and depth, basically, so you can haul a variety of different things that you are limited to on smaller cargo carriers. This really lends itself to push behind lawn mowers or rototillers. You do have a tow limit of 300 lbs or whatever your hitch is. Anything up to that you can haul with this cargo carrier. Also getting that material up there is an option ramp kit. This bar can be removed and you can roll your items onto it. That is optional part # 5800300. There you have it for part # 5800200 from Highland. This is part of their Lets Go Aero product line.
Questions and Comments about this Video
Hi I am looking for a hitch carrier to haul my otter fishhouse on would this work fo that or do you have any that are that big with no side rails?

That could work if the dimensions are adequate for the houses. We do also have a Rola 22 x 56 carrier with no siderails that might be better suited for you. It is part 59500.
