As you can see it has a little spring clip in here, you simply push it together a little bit, and it slides right into your hitch. Once you have it started you simply push it all the way back and it locks into place. When you take it off you just push it in and pull it out, its a relatively simple device. What else you can do with this is replace the clip inside here with a deadbolt receiver lock, any 2 inch variety will work fine on this model.
