This is a hitch a trailer lock set and they are both keyed alike. This is for a 1 1/4 inch by 1 1/4 inch class II or class I receivers and the trailer lock fits lever style couplers with a 1/2 inch span. We will go ahead and show you the operation of the locks, it is pretty easy. You flip open the rubber cap and you take the key and you can twist it off with the key or you can hold the other side and it comes apart like so. Both units work the same way. We will go ahead and show them installed and show you how they look then. Here we have our common 1 1/4 inch receiver hitch and simply the bolt just goes right through to the other side. You put the lock on and just twist it together as far as it will go and back off a half or quarter turn and the key comes apart
There you have it, your ball mount is locked into place. The coupler lock simply goes through here, in most common latch couplers like this there will be a hole right here, it comes apart like before and back the key out about a half turn, and there you have it. Once it is on the ball it will not go anywhere. That is your key alike lock set part # 7684.
