Review of a Boone Docking Station for 2 Inch Hitch Accessories

OK, we are going to show you a Boone Docking Station from Boone Outdoor Hardware, it is their part number 92422. What this unit allows you to do is your hitch rack and gear storage center. Basically you can hang anything that you tow behind your vehicle, with it. It could be a ball mount, a cargo carrier, or bicycle rack or anything between. You can go ahead and store it on your rack right here, out of the way but yet easy to reach. What the unit comes standard with is two what is called dock blocks. Basically, these pins hold this bar into place and it actually holds your hitch gear where you want it. You can mount it here, here or here, and there are 3 slots on the bottom too. We will go ahead and show you how the assembly works to hold your gear.

For instance, you can start off with a ball mount assembly. It simply slides on and rests on this bar and it will not go anywhere. Plus it has a clip for safety so it does not bounce off. We will go ahead and install a typical bicycle rack, and that way you have it held up out of the way also.

One thing that is definite that you have to do about this rack is this rack does get bolted to your wall. We do not have it, obviously, bolted here, for demonstration purposes, but it does come with 4 black screws right here. Plus, it comes with 4 mounting holes, already predrilled. The mounting holes on the inside are 16 inches on centers to match the common studs in a garage.

As you can see, we showed all 2 inch accessories on this rack. However, you can also you 1-1/4 inch accessories on this rack also. You just have to add a separate dock block for that specific application. There are applications for 1-1/4 inch and also bicycle racks or other devices that have threaded s also.
