Review of the Valley 3 Bike Carrier
Today we are going to show you part number V91150 from Valley. This is their 3 bike towing 2 armed rack for 2 inch trailer hitch receivers. It is a real nice and easy to use bicycle rack. You can attach it to your ball mount that goes directly to your hitch receiver. Also, you can use the provided stinger, which is the part that replaces the ball mount and goes into the hitch, and you can use your bicycle straight from there. What is also really nice about this bicycle rack is that it actually folds flat, almost completely flat, when you are not using it. You simply take these arms and just fold them over on top of themselves. Then fold this flat so you have a nice narrow form which you can easily store in the corner of a garage some where. We will go ahead and install our bicycle rack. It is actually pretty easy. As we have shown right here this is the actual stinger that comes with this bicycle rack in case you are not using a ball mount. This could easily be a ball mount if you already have one existing. What you do to install this is take this cap off and go ahead and slide this onto the stinger. Then push down on this handle right here, you have to use a pretty good amount of force and it locks into place. Then you put your safety pin in and re install your cap.
Then there is also a safety latch down here at the bottom. Go ahead and push that up and then use this knob to latch it into place. So at this point there is no way that this bicycle rack can become unclamped. We will go ahead and install a bike on this bicycle rack. We will start off by taking off the straps and using the middle set here. Then we will slide the bike over the top of the rack and into the cradles. What is nice about these cradles is they actually have a little edge to them. They are like a part on the side of the tube. It gives it something to work against when you strap it down. It is a pretty neat little design. With that, your bicycle is ready to go hit the road. Next we will show a couple of details about this bicycle rack.
First off we will start with the cradles. The cradles are a formed rubber piece that actually is very flexible to wrap around different sized frames. It also has grooves throughout the cradle to allow room for the cables going along the bike. These cradles will also rotate back and forth and can go from front to rear also. There you have it for part number V91150 from Valley, the 3 bike towing 2 arm bike rack for 2 inch trailer hitch receivers.
