Review of a Thule Parkway Zip Stick Anti-Sway Device
Today we are going to show you part number TH950 from Thule. This is Thules Parkway Zip Stick. This is an anti-sway device for Thule Parkway bicycle racks only. As you can see here we have a part that attaches to your Parkway bicycle rack. It comes with all necessary mounting hardware and it comes with the straps needed to tie down your bikes so they do not sway on your bicycle rack. It is constructed of ABS plastic and stainless steel tubing.
All right,we will go ahead and install it on a Thule Parkway bicycle rack and show you how it works. Just make sure you have the right bicycle rack this only applies to Parkway models. And you can tell if you have the right one if you have the pre-made hole on the post right here. This is where the device will bolt on to. All right, once you have it lined up, you can go ahead and install the hardware. It does come with a nice wrench to tighten down the hardware. The Zip Stick is installed and ready for service.
Next we will go ahead and install a bicycle on the rack and we will go ahead and tie it down. All right, now we have a bicycle installed on our bike rack, and we will go ahead and tie it down using the Zip Stick and accompanying straps. Simply run it through the wheel through the spokes, and then run the other free end through the Zip Stick, and just run it through the buckle. Just go ahead and pull it tight the best you can, and that keeps the bike from moving around. And then simply tie off the rest of your strap in any fashion you want. All right, and there you have it for part number TH950, the Zip Stick from Thule.
