Thule Small Easyline Trailer Review

Review of a Thule Small Easyline Trailer

Today we are going to show you part number TP105. This is a trailer from Thule, and this is part of their Easyline Series. This is the smallest trailer they make, and it is great for various light-duty applications. We will go ahead and cover some of the features of this trailer and show you how the tilt action works on it. First off, the construction of the trailer itself is all galvanized steel material. And we will go ahead and give you a few dimensions of the box itself. The inside measurement from left to right is going to be 33 inches, and front to rear is going to be 41 inches. From the floor to the top edge of the trailer is going to be 12-3/4 inches. And the overall measurement from the edge of the fender, on one side to the other side, is 48-1/2 inches. Within this dimension here you can also haul a capacity of 574 pounds.

All right, next we will show you the tilt feature of this trailer. It is pretty nice. It has got two safety latches to keep it from coming apart. First off is the latch on top, right here. Pull out this pin and loosen the knob, and this little latch comes up and out of the way. Underneath is a safety pin. You pull out the clip on this side and then pull out the pin here. At this point you can go ahead and tilt the trailer. As you can see here, we have a harness that is run underneath the trailer. It includes two side marker lights, two yellow in the front, two red ones toward the rear of the trailer. Of course, you have also got your tail lights in the back, also with the license plate lights. And also, you can see on the suspension here there are no springs. That is because this trailer has a torsion axle. This is the axle here, and the beam goes inside here, and there are rubber bars that keep the spindle from moving around and that absorb the shock load. So you do not have to worry about any moving parts whatsoever to wear out.

Finally I want to talk about the coupler and its components. This coupler here rides on a very common 2-inch ball - easy to find. And also the wiring component here is a standard, 4-pole flat, which comes covered in a heavy-duty vinyl coating, which will make it last a very long time. It also comes with a safety cable here, including this hook that you would snap onto the hitch of your vehicle. All right, and the tailgate is latched on the sides here. There is one on each side, and they are simple to use. Just open it up like so and it works just like a simple latch. Also, there is room for a small padlock in there in case you want to put a padlock on there to lock in place. And you have open access to the back of the trailer. And also, the tailgate itself is removable. The tailgate is easily removed by just unlatching it first and then you simply just move it off to one side and it comes right off. And this trailer has a variety of tie-down points. They are built into the panels right here. And you can see there are three in the back right here, and they are just the perfect size for tie-down straps.

Next we will show you how the lights work on this trailer. It has a full array of marker lights and tail lights. First we will show you the running lights. It has LED lights on the side and incandescent lights on the rear. And then we will show you the brake lights. And then you have a left turn, and a right turn. And you have license plate lights also. And that covers our review of part number TP105 from Thule, their Easyline trailer.
