Review of a Thule PullTop 6 Ski and 4 Snowboard Carrier

Today we are going to show you part number TH91726 from Thule. This is Thules PullTop Ski and Snowboard Carrier. This is Thules deluxe ski and snowboard carrier, and it can handle up to six pairs of skis or up to four snowboards. It uses an easy, oversize push-button system to open it up. And the whole system actually telescopes out for easy loading. We will go ahead and show you some of the features more in detail and install it on a typical roof rack.

First off, easy-use big button to unlock it. If you have mitts or gloves on, you do not have to worry about a small button you have to work with. Push the button and pop it open. The second main feature is that the whole thing telescopes out. To telescope it out, you just push it to the side and then just pull it out toward you. And also, to secure your equipment, each one of these comes with a built-in lock, and they can be a part of Thules core removal system, too, so they can match up to all the other accessories that you have. These clamp to virtually any rack out there, but we are going to be using them on a Thule rack system today. The bolts go through on the clamps right here, and basically it just tightens up and clamps into place. And this does come with special screws. It actually comes with a torque screw with a little pin on the top, so a regular torques bit cannot be used to take the skis and the carriers off your vehicle when you are not looking. All right, we will go ahead and install these on our vehicle and show you how they look.

Let us go ahead and install these. Set it on the rail and line up your screws and your clamps. Then just go ahead and screw them in loosely so they will not fall over or anything like that - enough where you can actually still move the rack back and forth to put it into the position that you desire. Now we have got our racks installed, we will go ahead get ready them ready to load up some skis. Push the button here, and it pops up. Push this lever down to the side and you can slide the whole assembly out. Now we can go load our skis up. All right, once you have got everything loaded up, push it to the middle and then pull your arms down into place.
