Review of a Swagman XP 3 Bike Rack for 1-1/4 Hitch
Today we are going to show you part number S64905. This is a three-bike rack for 1-1/4 inch trailer hitches from Swagman. This is the XP. The superior solid steel construction provides lasting toughness and carries up to three bikes. The cushioned cradles on the arm rotate to keep the wheels level to the ground, providing improved ground clearance. Additionally, the cradles help provide a scratch-free ride for bikes by using thick, Kraton vinyl cushioning with large grooves, which prevent bike cables from rubbing up against the frame. They also work to prevent the bikes from rocking back and forth during the transit. The cradles accommodate bikes with up to a 2-inch-diameter frame, and the locking knob allows for secure and quick unload.

As you can see here, you loosen these nuts and you can actually move the cradles themselves, either side to side or front to back. Now you can tell here, with the alternative frame bike that we did use, we actually utilize that to keep the bike level on the rack. Noticing on the second layer here, you can see these grooves that actually provide a little bit of cushioning for the cables, so they do not get mashed up against the frame. You can see that example right here. And you can see these three slots here that give you a choice when you put the top plate back on as to where it needs to be to accommodate the diameter of the frame. Now, the front knob here is a little bit different from the others, as it actually has a locking mechanism, as you can see here. Now, it is self-tensioning, so you need a bike on that for it to actually work. Take the key, and lock it down. And when you turn it, it will not unthread or thread back down. It will be stuck exactly where it is going to be. And there you have it for part number S64905, the three-bike bike rack for 1-1/4 inch trailer hitches, the Swagman XP.
