Review of a Rola Rooftop Rolling Duffle

Today we are going to be showing you part number 59101. This is the Rola Rooftop Rolling Duffle, with four cubic feet of storage capacity. This multi-use cartop carrier and rolling duffle bag is constructed from premium, rainproof material. From the protective cover and the in-line wheels to the roomy interior, this bag can take you and your friends from home to the airport and to your favorite destination. Perfect to travel by car or air, this sturdy design is sure to stand up to any weather, as well as handling at the baggage claim. It has a telescoping handle that has a pushbutton locking mechanism to keep it in place, and it has in-line wheels for easy handling. The protective cover and adjustable attachment straps are included, and there is also a place for an identification card on the front. It also has a large double zipper, which is included for easy operation. The foldover flap helps keep water from getting in through the zipper, and a cover is included for when the bag will be traveling on the vehicle roof. It makes the bag more weather resistant while keeping it clean from road debris. We will show off some of these features - show you how the bag itself works as well as how it attaches to the vehicle.

As we said before, we are going to show off some of the features of this. First off, this is the bag itself, before you actually place it onto your vehicle. And, as stated before, you can see it has a front pouch here to actually put your ID if you need it. Also, as far as like the tie-down points themselves, they attach right here and can come off if need be, if you are just going to be carrying it around for the rest of the day or for the rest of your trip. Also, just to make it more convenient for carrying, it does come with these two carry straps that just Velcro on, like so, to make it easy for transport. And it has a handle here - just push this button and the handle comes out. And also, if you happen to have this attached to the roof of your vehicle, it also comes with a weather casing that even provides more protection during the harsh elements. It is a bag, like so, that just fits over. It is a nice, tight fit. And to tighten it up - see this string here, just tighten it up. Now, if you notice on the top portion here, there are actual holders for the tie-down points, so that is taken care of, as well. We will now go ahead and attach this to a vehicle to show you how this works.

All right, first off we are going to show you the tie-down points. Notice that there are two buckles here and here. Now, this strap actually comes separate and attaches to this we will show you how. See, this strap here has two points for it to tie down. This, being the smaller end of it, actually goes around the tie-down loop itself, while this attaches to this buckle up here. There also are two similar buckles up at the front end. You simply just feed it through, wrap it around the tie-down loop and do the same. Get it down as nice and tight as possible, and then simply tighten down the top side, so it is nice and secure. Next, we are going to show you about the zippers here, which have this nice protection layer, which also has Velcro to keep it nice and tight and safe from the elements. All right, and there you have it for part number 59101 from Rola, the Cartop Rolling Duffle, with four cubic feet of storage space.
