Review of a Reese Flip-Up Hitch Step
In this review we have got part number 70148 from Reese. This is their Flip-up Hitch Step. What this hitch step does is it attaches to your existing ball mount and at the same time it covers and protects your hitch ball. You can flip it up and lock it out of the way when you are ready to tow your trailer. It is universal and fits most popular 2-inch and 3-1/4-inch ball mount s. And this works only on Class III 2-inch receiver ball mounts. And the weight capacity on the step itself is 300 pounds.
It is very simple to work. As you can see here, we have it in its lower position so you can use it as a step. But when you need to use it to tow a trailer, simply pull out on this little button right here and then just flip it out of your way, and it automatically locks in its own dent-in so you do not have to worry about pushing the pin back in. And as a step, it is very handy to get in the back of your vehicle or maybe get on top of your roof rack. As you can see, it is a perfect accessory for any work truck.
