Today we are going to show you part number MS-913 from Pilot Automotive. This is the License Plate Tag Frame with a Backup Sensor. And this is basically a license plate frame with two sensors on the sides and then a monitor that gets installed at the front of the vehicle. It is a very easy plug and play installation. You only have to hook up two wires at the back of the vehicle to install it.
We will go through the list of parts that come with this kit. This is the monitor itself. This is the part that gets mounted to basically anywhere on your dash. These are the Scotch locks that actually connect to the wire harness on your vehicle. And also there are some zip-ties right next to it that will help you keep the wire bundle nice and tidy. And these are the wires right here that connect up. Those two wires you have to connect one to ground, and the other one has to connect up to the reverse light. And on each side of the license plate frame, the unit has these sensors right here. These are what actually looks for objects behind your vehicle. Of the two wires on the license plate frame, one went to ground, and that will be in the frame of the vehicle, and the other wire went to the power wire that lights up the reverse light here on the taillight. As you can see here, we have the license plate frame installed on the vehicle, to give you an idea of how it looks. Next we will show you a device that goes inside the vehicle.
As you can see here we have a unit installed on the dash here it adheres to the top of the dash. And this cord here just plugs into your cigarette outlet right here. Next we will have somebody go behind the vehicle and walk up toward the license plate and we will show you how it reacts. And it shows this measurement in feet. And that is approximately 2 feet away from the vehicle. That covers our review of part number MS-913 from Pilot Automotive, the License Plate Tag Frame with a Backup Sensor.
