Today we are going to be showing you part number 1470DAT. This is the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock with an integrated 8-foot cable by Master Lock. The receiver lock rotates 360 degrees for easy access. The 3/8-inch-thick, braided steel cable is removable when not required. The lock fits both half-inch and 5/8-inch receiver holes. The 8-foot cable loops through four bikes or cargo on a cargo carrier. The cable can be used separately with a padlock, if need be, and it has a limited lifetime warranty.
All right, as you can see, here on the table we have all the pieces laid out. Here is the actual receiver lock itself. It has a nice, weathertight seal to keep the elements out of there. Simply turn the key, like so, and it comes right off. Then it comes with this bushing here that can convert it from a half-inch to a 5/8-inch diameter, if need be. And then here is the 8-foot cable that we were mentioning earlier. As these two attachment points here to go to the hitch lock, you simply slide it through one area, go through the hitch, and then slide this on the other side and then simply reapply the lock.
As you can see, we have put two bikes on this rack here. Now we are going to show you how the cable lock would actually work to actually secure your bikes to the rack itself, as well as keeping the rack itself secure into the hitch. OK, first we are going to take the actual hitch lock here and we are going to put the cable lock on top of it. Then we are going to into the hitch, like so, and then we are going to wrap it around the bikes and then attach it back on the other side. Now, after you have looped it around back to the other side, simply just repeat the locking process. Put the weathertight cover back on, and your bikes are nice and secure, as is your bike rack. And that about covers it for part number 1470DAT. This is the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock with integrated 8-foot cable by Master Lock.
