Review of a Padlock for a Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier

Today we are going to be showing you part number 63140-1. This is the padlock for the silent hitch pin. It is an optional lock for securing the silent hitch pins that are included with the Lets Go Aero, Highland and Rolas hitch mounted cargo carriers. This lock fits a 5/8 inch size silent hitch pin for only two-inch receiver hitches. The best way to do this is to show you how it works. And we will do that right now.

You unlock it like so, slip it over, pull it out and it locks into place. Even if they had a wrench to loosen up your anti-rattle bolt here, they still cannot get it off the hitch because it is stopped by this. This also goes for the front part of the hitch tube. This is why they actually recommend two for this particular model. This is so no one can actually pull this pin out and walk away with your cargo carrier with all your precious cargo inside.
