Today we are going to show you part number 74211 from Hoppy. This is Hoppys Tailgate EasyLift. What this is, is a device that actually takes the weight off the tailgate and makes it easier to lift up and down. In most cases it will take up to 80 percent of the weight of the tailgate off your hands. It is actually pretty easy to install. As soon as you open it up you can see the instructions on what to do to install it. Basically you only have to drill two holes. One gets drilled into the tailgate itself and the other gets drilled into the truck bed itself. Most of the time on a tailgate you take two arms and you have got to really kind of push and shove it up in there. With the EasyLift it actually does not require that much effort at all. You can do it easily one-handed while probably carrying something in that arm, too. And also, when you let it down, it does not really flop down all that hard it actually has a controlled descent. And again, it just makes it smooth going up into the bed when you close it. And there you have it for part number 74211 from Hoppy, the Tailgate EasyLift.
Stromberg Carlson Tailgate Installation - 2007 Dodge Ram
Today on our 2007 Dodge Ram 2500, were going to be test fitting the Stromberg Carlson Fifth Wheel Tailgate, part #VGD-02-100. First, well need to remove the OEN tailgate. Well undo the cables. At their securing posts, lower the tailgate to about a 45 degree angle, pull it off the passengers side hinge, and then slide it off the drivers side hinge. Once weve done that, were ready to fit on our Stromberg Carlson gate. Well just reverse the procedure.
Stromberg Carlson Tailgate Installation - 2003 Dodge Ram
Today in this 2003 Dodge Ram Pickup, were going to do a test fit of part number VGD-02-100. This is from Stromberg Carlson. Now, were going to start off our test of it with our tailgate already assembled according to instructions, so all Ill got to do is remove the original tailgate then install the new one. The new tailgate installs just like the original. Well slide it over the pin and keep it tilted back, so we can slide on the other pin on the passenger side then well go ahead and push it up. Well pull the latches out just a little bit, then well go ahead and push the tailgate firmly into place.
Stromberg Carlson Tailgate Installation - 2011 Dodge Ram
Today, on our 2011 Dodge Ram 1500, we are going to install part number VG-10-100. This is a Stromberg-Carlson fifth wheel tailgate. To start of our install, we need to go ahead and remove the existing tailgate. The tailgate comes with bushings we will install on the tailgate on the driver side on that pin and then on the passenger side, the bushing will install over here. We will go ahead and start installing our tailgate, we will slide it onto the bushing on the driver side. Keeping the tailgate tilted, we will go ahead and install it on the passenger side.
