Today we are going to show you part number 5800400 from Lets Go Aero and Highland, the gear cage telescoping cargo rack. One of the features that we will first cover with this cargo carrier is the built-in anti-rattle device. You can see here, we have a bolt that goes into the hitch, and it goes into the anti-rattle device that is inside the cargo carrier shank. Bolt it down and you are ready to go down the road without any rattles.
Next we will show you another part of the cargo carrier, the telescoping option. What you can do is basically just pull it out away from your vehicle so you have access to the rear of your vehicle. Whereas with an SUV, with its liftback gate, or with a pickup truck, as shown here, you can lower the tailgate. First what you want to do is go ahead and pull out the safety pin that is in the back. It is pretty similar to the bolt that works up to the front for the anti-rattle device. To keep you from pulling the cargo carrier too far, it actually comes with a built-in safety cable, as shown right here. As you can see at the end of the cargo carrier, on the end of the telescoping portions, are actual reflectors that get installed to increase your visibility.
With this cargo carrier, you can carry a variety of different materials with this, from gardening materials to sporting goods to coolers or gas cans. Anything that you do not want to carry inside your vehicle but need to haul it, this is the way to go. As long as your weight capacity does not go over 300 lbs, you can haul anything with this.
