Okay, today on our 2009 Subaru Forester we are going to install part number 118467 from Tow Ready. Okay, the first thing we need to do when we install our wire harness is get down to the spare tire area, so we are going to take off this mat here get it out of our way. Take out the foam s. We will take this out of our way, and we will remove the net. Okay, and then this foam section here also has to come out. :31
It pops out. Okay, and here is our wire harness right here. Make sure that you have your fuse installed in your wire harness. And then we will just go ahead and plug our end into the vehicle port. Okay, that takes care of that. Now we need to take our converter box here and we can just tuck that out of the way back in here where the foam does not sit and just secure it so it will not be rattling or be bouncing around anywhere. You can mount the converter box pretty far back where the sheet metal starts pointing down at a slope and you can just attach to that. Keep our wire harness out of the way now then reinstall our foam . We will set it here for right now. And we can just reassemble our other pieces. 1:39
And when you need access to the wire harness for your trailer, all you got to do is pull it out. Bring it out the rear of the vehicle, door seal will give you plenty of room for it. Shut the door on it, it will not hurt anything. Of course when you are not using it, keep it stored underneath the cover here so that it will not be sitting outside getting corroded up. And basically our install is now complete. Now, that finishes our install for part number 118467 from Tow Ready. 2:17
