Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118301 on a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. OK, we are underneath the vehicle and we removed the spare tire, and if you kind of look at the cross member here, follow it to the drivers side you can see the T-harness that we are going to be disconnecting on the vehicle here. This is where our aftermarket harness is going to plug into. So the first thing we want to do is just go ahead and push the tab in and pull the connectors apart. OK, then we just want to go ahead and plug our harness in line here, like so.
We want to find a mounting location for our converter box. You can see there is double-sided tape on the back side. We went ahead and cleaned off this location here and we are just going to go ahead and remove the cover from the tape and stick that right there, like so. OK. And then lastly, we want to ground the ground wire. Again, right here on the cross member would be a perfect location to go ahead and ground it, we are going to go ahead and do that with the self-tapping screw that was provided with the installation kit. OK, and with the ground wire secured, our installation is complete. And this concludes the installation of wiring harness part number 118301 on a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado.
