Installation of a Wiring Harness on a 2003 Nissan Frontier
Today we are going to be installing a T1 wiring harness, part number 118362, on a 2003 Nissan Frontier. Looking up underneath the vehicle now. And you can see, we are looking back towards the bumper right on the rear side of the spare tire here. If you take a look at the passenger side, the harness is going to be right here. What we will want to do is go ahead and disconnect that and pull these 2 pieces apart. As you can see there is kind of a pin in there that we need to push in then you can pull these 2 pieces apart, like so. Now that we have the wire disconnected here we can go ahead and put our T-harness in line. As you can see there are 2 ends on it as well. You just plug the coinciding ends together. Okay, we are going to go ahead and mount the ground now. And we want to actually mount that directly to the frame so that we make sure that we have a good grounding point.
With the ground secure we went ahead and mounted the converter box to the backside of the cross member here. It has double sided tape, just make sure you have a nice clean surface to mount it to. After that you just need to secure all the loose wires so that they will not drag underneath the vehicle. We went ahead and put the 4 pole down here and attached it towards the front side of the hitch. We went ahead and routed the other end of the 4 pole here and attached it to the hitch. This concludes the installation of wiring harness, part number 118362 for a 2003 Nissan Frontier.
