Today we are going to install part number 118329 from Tow Ready, and we are going to install this T-1 Connector on a 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup. Now this T-connector will go to two sides of the vehicle. The green wire will go to the passengers side, and the yellow wire will go to the drivers side. This T-connector actually will fit between a connection that is already in the wire harness. It unsnaps, and then this part goes in one and the other half goes into the other. And then the wire comes up from the middle, which makes it a T.
This is going to be our connection point right here, going to the passengers side tail light, so let us just go ahead and disconnect that one. OK, we have got it apart. Snap one half in and the other half back into it. Make sure you click together. And we will do the same thing on the drivers side and disconnect it and hook up our T-connector to that side. We will route the 4-pole by the safety chain loops on the hitch, and then we will go ahead and just take up the rest of our slack. Zip-tie it to wherever we can underneath the vehicle and take up the slack. And next we will go ahead and put some electrical tape around it to help protect it a little bit and make it look a little bit nicer. OK, and we will reroute our wires back across the chain loop, and we are finished with our install. All right, and there you have it for part number 118329 from Tow Ready.

Today on this 2005 Dodge Dakota, were going to install part number 55323 from Curt. First thing we need to do is go ahead and open up the tail gate and get access to the tail lights so we can go ahead and remove them. Alright, with the tail light, well go ahead and disconnect the wiring harness from the light socket that has three wires going through. Now, well go ahead and leave that alone for now. Well take our 4-pole wiring harness and run it through the bottom of the tail light area, and also, well do the same thing with the T-connector half with the green wire. Well take the T-connector with the yellow wire and attach it back to the tail light and then the factory harness to the T wiring harness.
Today we will be working on a 2005 Dodge Dakota. We are going to install Tow Ready T-one connector, part number 118323. First we are going to start out on the passenger side by removing these two torque spit screws. We are removing these so that we can remove the taillight lens to access the taillight wire connector. Set those screws aside so we can reinstall them later. You may need to gently pry the light, the lens, away from the bed assembly as these plastic rivets can be difficult to remove. As you can see, we can now access the right rear taillight wiring connectors. We are going to disconnect these taillight connectors from the housing. It may be necessary to take a small pocket screw driver just to gently pry loose on the clip so that we do not break it. I am going to do this for both connectors. 1:05
Today on this 1999 Dodge Dakota pickup we are going to install part number 118329 from Tow Ready. We will go ahead and show you where the connection points are. We are looking at the driver side frame rail. This connection point right here is where one half of our T-connector will fit in. So what we will do is push up on this tab right here and we can pull it apart. And on our driver side we will install the T-connector with the yellow wire. Now we will go over to the passenger side of the vehicle and repeat the same process. Now we will take our 4-pole and run it over the cross tube and down to our hitch. Then we will take the remaining wire and just go ahead and zip-tie it up and out of the way. And with that we are already done with our install. And there you have it for part number 118329 from Tow Ready.
Today on this 2006 Dodge Dakota we are going to install Curt wiring harness part number 55323. The wiring harness that we are going to be installing plugs in directly behind the taillights on both the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle. So, the first thing we are going to do for our installation is go ahead and remove both of the taillights. To do that, we need to go ahead and the tailgate down. If you look on the inboard side, you can see that there are two screws that are holding the taillight in place. And again that is the same on both the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle. So I am going to start my installation off over here on the passenger side of the vehicle. Go ahead and remove the two full length screws. And with the two outboard side screws removed, there are two push fasteners on the inside of the lights. So, you want to be careful when removing it. Gently rock it back and forth until you get those to release. 0:50
Today on this 2006 Dodge Dakota, we are going to install part number 55323 from Curt. The wire harness does plug in behind the taillights. So, the first thing that we need to do is go ahead and remove the taillights. We are going to start on the driver side and work our way over to the passenger side. We are going to remove these two screws on the side right here. Looking at the light here, the top section is the part we need to disconnect two little tabs on each side here and here. Push those tabs in and the connector comes apart. Now we can start installing the T-connector. We are going to use the yellow end. That will be for the left hand side. So let us go ahead and just plug that back together. And they are also keyed, so make sure they go in the right way. And you just push them back together until they make a clicking noise. And these fit in between the wire harness in the vehicle and the taillight. 1:02
