Advanced Flow Engineering. It was founded in 1999. The company started making the air filters in 1999. We started producing just air filters, which is gauze, oiled filters, high flow. The whole idea came from thinking about offering an alternative to what was on the market. We felt like there was not many choices in the marketplace. :25
You can buy anything else in the world, from milk to clothing, except when you need to get a air filter reduction system, you have no choice. We have expanded into the intake, 60 to 70 percent of our business right now is air intakes. Since then, we have expanded our scope into trucks, diesel trucks, gas trucks, and European cars. Believe it or not, we sell a lot of the BMW, Volkswagen, Audi market. :50
Last year we introduced our line to a sports compact, called Takeda USA. In the product offering we want to be involved with anything that touches air, from the inlet to the exhaust pipe. We have expanded into fluid filters, we now offer fuel filters, oil filters, and transmission filters. Our exhaust is on fire the last couple years. If they are taking a right, we are going to take a left. We try to do things very differently, from the filters that we started with, to our seals. There are a lot of tiny details that you can not see yet, like quality, when you pick it up and put it on, you know it was built with quality. 1:32
We wanted to be better than them. We wanted to be exceptional. We are exceptional in the flow, quality, and the craftsmanship. Speaking of, we do not spend a whole lot of money in advertising. We do not, I take pride in that. You want the product to sell itself, we do not want to make mediocre stuff, we want to make great stuff, or we do not want to make it. We only build with that enthusiasm because we love our products so much and we love what we do, we are car guys. We do not tell people how to do this, we say design and build it the way you want it for your own vehicle.
