Today at Etrailer.com we are going to be working on this 2006 Chevrolet 2500 HD Series. We are going to be installing part number 23-1950 from Westin. The first thing we are going to do is we are going to want to remove the forward, center, and rear most body mount bolts. That is where our tube steps are actually going to mount. The first thing we are going to do is remove the bolts. Now that we have got our bolts removed I am going to show you on the brackets themselves that they are actually marked per side and which location they go in. This one says PF so it is going to be Passenger Front. Then the center bracket is going to be the longer one. In the center of it, it is going to say PC for Passenger Center. Then on the rear bracket which is the medium size one is going to be marked with the letters PR for Passenger Rear. For the driver side it is going to have Driver Front, Driver Center, and Driver Rear marked on them. 01:01
We are going to put our brackets into place. We are going to start with the rear. Passenger Rear to the front of the vehicle. We are going to use the existing bolts. We are going to hand tighten these for now where we can have a little wiggle room to line up our tube steps a little easier. Now on this one you want the larger part of the bracket to mount into the bottom of the truck. It is going to have the plate on the rear side of it. We are also going to leave this one loose as well. On the forward bracket we are actually going to be mounting it with the label towards us and the side plate towards the rear of the vehicle. Again we are going to use the same hardware and leave it loose so we can attach our tube step a little easier. 02:10
Now that we have our brackets in place we are going to mount our tube step. Now it is probably best to get a second set of hands to help you hold it up so you do not scratch the nice finish on them. On the brackets we are going to be using the two 50 millimeter bolts for the end brackets and the center bracket we are going to be using a 25 millimeter bolt. Before we do our last tightening we are going to make sure that it is all lined up and the way that you want it. The first ones that we are going to tighten up are the ones that the brackets are going into the body mounts. Now we are going to tighten our bracket bolts that are going in to our tube step. Now that we have all of our bolts tightened down, do the same thing on the driver side of the vehicle. That will conclude the installation on this 2006 Chevrolet 2500 HD series for part number 23-1950 from Westin.
Pilot Tube Step Installation - 2011 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on our 2011 Chevy Silverado, we'll be installing the Bully Bar Tube Steps part # NB-105. Before we begin installation, we'll go ahead and lay our parts out. We'll need to identify the front and rear or short and long brackets and then our center bracket. Because we're working with the 2006 and newer application, we'll be reusing the manufacturer's hardware. First we'll go ahead and remove the front cab corner body mount bolt and bushing. Now we're ready to install the front bracket.
Pilot Tube Step Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on this 2010 Chevy Silverado, were gonna install part number NB-109 from Pilot. Our attachment points are on the body bolts on this vehicle and there are three of them as theyre shown here.Next step is well go ahead and layout our parts. We have a short bracket that goes on the front and then the long bracket that stays in the center and then a tall bracket that goes in the back.So well go ahead and loosen up the body bolts. You want to do this by hand first because some of the models have a thread locker on there and an air ratchet could break the nut inside the body. When we take the bolts out, you wanna prepare the stock bolts to the bolts that come with the kit. Some models have a thicker bolt. If thats the case, go ahead and use the factory bolts.
Westin Tube Step Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Today on this 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series HD regular cab we are going to be installing Westin nerf bar part number 23-1400. We are looking at the driver side of the vehicle and the first thing we want to do is locate the body mount, the front and rear. The front body mount is located just rear of the front tire. If you follow rearward just about even with the edge of the door just below it is our rear body mount and that is what we are going to be attaching our nerf bar set up to. With those located we are going to start with the front body mount and what we want to do is remove the existing bolt. You can see that it is likely that the rubber bushing is going to come down as well and that is fine. We want to take that and set it off to the side for the time being and remove the rear body mount bolt. 00:55
Pilot Automotive Nerf Bar Installation - 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500

Today, on this 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 series regular cab, we will be installing the Bully Nerf Bars part number NB-103. Just rearward of the front tire here, we have the forward body mounting bracket here. As you can see we have a bolt in there. We are going to be taking that bolt out, putting in new hardware. And that is going to provide our forward attaching point for our Nerf Bar. And you will notice that the bushing is coming out as well, with the bolt. And that is okay, but we are going to be putting this bushing back up into place when we get our brackets set up. If we go a little bit further back, just about even with the edge of the door, we have a second body mounting bracket, again with the same bolt. Again, we are going to remove this one as well and get the new bracket and hardware in place as well. 0:52
