Today on this 2011 Subaru Legacy we are going to show you how to install the square load bars roof rack system with the Traverse Towers and Fit Kit, part number THKIT1574. Our first measurement is from the edge of the windshield to the front of the foot pack, it will be 10-5/8 inches. It will be the same measurement on both sides. Once we have the load bar measured out, we can use the tool provided with the foot pack to tighten it down. Okay, once we have the front load bars tightened down, we can install our back load bars. 1:11
Our second measurement will be from the center of the load bar to center of the load bar, which will be 27-1/2 inches. Once they are measured out, we can go ahead and tighten them down. Another thing to be mindful of it is 27-1/2 inches from center of the load bar to center of the load bar, it will also help you determine what kind of cargo system you can install on top of your new load bar system.
