Today we are going to review part number, BPS-4 from Auto Page. This is their backup parking sensor. What this part includes is four ultrasonic sensors, an audible and visual display panel, a system control unit, cable and connectors, installation instructions, and a drill bit to do the install on the bumper of your vehicle. We have this product installed on this video and will show you how it works. :24
It is pretty simple, it hooks up to your reverse light lead on the back of your vehicle. In reverse it kicks on, it sounds two beeps to let you know its on and then simply drive as normal, be careful of course when backing up. It will let you know when you are close to whatever object you are backing up into. As a side note, if you are pulling a trailer with this, it will detect the trailer back there, so there is an on and off switch on the display channel to turn it off when you do not really need it. :48
You can see we are in a parking lot and are backing up, within about 4 foot it will start blinking and making a sound. The closer you get the more intense it goes. When it gets to a solid beep, you are about a foot away. Also, the panel blinks in time with the sound, which gives you a visual display too. The instructions tell you to mount it in the back of your vehicle so you can see it in your rear view, close to the back of your window. There you have it for part number, BPS-4 from Auto Page backup parking sensor.
