Installation of a Trailer Hitch on a 2003 Nissan Frontier
Today we are going to be installing part number 13831 on a 2003 Nissan Frontier. All right, we are under the vehicle here, and we are going to go ahead and point out the mounting holes. You can see right here on the drivers side frame rail there are three holes, one large and two smaller holes. Set that over the top, where it will align through the holes. Go ahead and put our bolts down through, like that. And then we want to go ahead and do the same thing for the passenger side. as well. And now we have got the plate in place along with the bolts, we can go ahead and put the hitch up into position. We just want to attach it with the nuts that are provided.
You can see now, with the bolts tightened down, that there is about a good 1 inch or 1-1/2 inches of clearance between the hitch and the exhaust, so you do not have to worry about it rattling against the exhaust here. With all the bolts tightened down, our installation is complete. This will conclude the installation of hitch part number 13831 on a 2003 Nissan Frontier.
