Review of the Wagan Tech 4-in-1 Xtreme Power Outdoor Emergency Kit
Today we have part number 02051 from Wagan Tech, the 4-in-1 Xtreme Power Outdoor Emergency Kit. It gets its name from the four functions it can handle. First off it is an auto jump starter, an air compressor to air up your tires, a DC power source, and then a 150-watt inverter that allows you to have 120 volts AC at 150 watts. First to talk about is the compressor here. This is the on-off switch here, and this is the hose that you can air up your tire with. It is about 18 inches long, and it wraps around for storage. And this is the on-off switch for the compressor itself, and it is powered by the internal battery. That way, you do not have to worry about stretching your cord out to a 12 volt power supply in your vehicle.
Next we have the auto jump starter here. It clips right here, and you use that to jump start your car. And the length on that is about 18 inches also. All right, and also we have an AC inverter here. And what you can do is plug this into a 12 volt power supply. You can actually plug this into the onboard battery through these 12 volt power supply outlets here and here to get yourself 150-watt power, which you can use for small devices or even a laptop. Here is your one outlet and your on-off switch for the inverter.
To charge an onboard battery, you can do it in two different ways. On way is through a 12 volt power supply on your vehicle, like the cigarette lighter. You take the cord and it plugs in right here. And you go ahead and then just install it into your 12 volt power supply. And that will recharge your battery. However, it will take up to about 8 hours to recharge the battery, so it is best to do this on a long road trip. All right, you can charge the battery with the 110 adapter. Again, it just plugs into the same spot and it has the plug here you can just tap into any 110 receptacle in your house or your garage.
All right, to cover a few more facts about the 4-in-1 Xtreme Power, basically, the starting ability of the onboard battery, you have 400 cranking amps, which will basically turn over just about any car out there. The cordless auto jump starter provides 400 cold-cranking amps and uses 4-gauge cables with heavy-duty booster clamps. On the air compressor side, it has a total psi of 275. It can inflate about a 16-inch tire in about 5 to 7 minutes and it also comes complete with a nozzle and sports needle for different types of sporting equipment. And the DC-to-AC power inverter is actually removable from the unit. You can take it out and put it somewhere else where you need power. And then on the cordless DC power source, the outlets that are on top of the unit, they are powerful 12 volt 12 amp hour battery.
