It has a translucent cover that will allow some sunlight through. The fan is powered by a 12 volt system and will not require 110 volt hookup. It is made in the USA, it has a rough opening size of 14-1/4 by 14-1/4 and it comes with a one year warranty. The outside metal flange is galvanized steel to prevent outside rusting and corrosion.
