Today were going to review part number UWS00336. This is the UWS Truck Bed Toolbox. This is a narrow crossover style toolbox. This is a saddle style toolbox, which will hang from the truck bed rails behind the cab of your truck. It is aluminum construction. Its built of a 0.063 aluminum tread plate with fully welded seams and is guaranteed not to rust.
It does have heavy-duty stainless steel latches on both sides. It has a lock here on the drivers side and it does come with a black powder coating which is the best base finish if youre going to paint the toolbox to much the color of your truck. It does have a connecting rod for both latches. They are covered enclosed to prevent the box contents on the inside from bending or jarring the locking system. Right in here, they cover the connecting rod of the two switches, our latches.
The lid has a beveled lid design right here. And it has a patented foam filled lid which will provide insulation and protection of your contents from the elements and it will also give rigidity to the lid which will mean all you have to do is be able to push on one side and a complete lid will go down and latch into place. It does have a foam lining or gasket on the lid so that when it is closed this foam will help keep the elements or any of the bad weather from getting into your things you will be storing in here. It has heavy-duty gas cylinders to help lift the lid and hold it open a full 90 degrees, one on each end. It does have a piano hinge on the lid that runs the whole length of the lid.
It makes it easy to close and open the lid. There is a sliding tray on the inside and there are two small storage compartments on each end for small items. This part is made in the USA. Now, I do want to give you a few dimensions on the toolbox. The overall length of this toolbox, 69 inches, and the width is going to be 12 inches.
The overall height with the lid closed will be about 10-1/2 inches. This does have a storage capacity of 3.7 cubic ft and the top of the box will extend about 4 inches above the truck bed rails.
