Review of Timbren Vehicle Suspension TFR1504R

Today, we're going to review part number TFR1504R. This is the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System for the 2010 to 2012 Ford F150 SVT Raptor. This system uses hollow rubber springs that will sit above the axle. These will help stabilize and level your vehicle and provide a more comfortable ride. It does improve the suspension, the handling and the safety. It will provide additional support as needed and it does work independently side to side.

This will also act as a shock absorber taking the brunt of the bumps and the rough roads. This kit does include two Aeon hollow rubber springs, the custom-fit brackets, and all the hardware. I do replace the axle bump stops on the frame. There is no drilling required. It will use existing holes in the frame.

So what will happen is this custom-fit bracket will be bolted onto the bottom of each frame rail right above the rear axle and then the spring will mount to the bottom of the bracket, and will sit about 1 inch above the axle. And the 1-inch clearance allows your existing factory suspension top rate normally when you light loads or you're loaded off. And then as you're loading it down, it will compress the spring and because of the convoluted design, it will progressively which means as it's compressed more it will stiffen up and offer increased resistance which will help keep the truck bed level when hauling a heavy load. This suspension system does have a 3000-pound weight capacity, but you really need to remember you do not want to exceed the vehicle's weight carrying capacity, and you also have to make sure your suspension system is in good working order or this enhancement system will work correctly. This part does come with a limited lifetime warranty.
