Review of Kenda Tires and Wheels am3h400

Today, we're going to review part number AM3H400. This is the Kenda 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire on a 10'' Dexstar Galvanized Wheel. This wheel is a galvanized steel wheel by Dexstar. It's is galvanized for superior corrosion resistance. And a few measurements on this wheel, the rim dimensions, the overall diameter of this wheel is 10'', which is measured here-to-here. And it is a 6" wide wheel.

The bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2". And the best way to measure a bolt pattern that would of odd bolt holes. So if draw a circle around the center of each bolt hole and then you would measure from the center of 1 bolt hole to the outer edge of that circle would give you dimension of 4-1/2". So that would be a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. This wheel has a weight capacity of 1,650 pounds.

It uses a bolt hole size of a 1/2"-20. Another critical measurement is the center pilot-hole, which is used to fit over the hub on your trailer. A diameter on this wheel is 2.8''. Then we'll move on to the tire. This is a Kenda Loadstar 205/65-10 tire size, has a load range of C, which is a 6 ply rated tire.

That has a maximum load carrying capacity of 1,100 pounds at 50 psi. This tire is a Bias constructed tire which means the belts on this tire will run the length of the tire. And that will give you a little bit firmer ride as oppose to a radial constructed tire. This tire wheel package comes with a limited two-year warranty. And that should do it for covering part number AM3H400.

It is the Kenda 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire on a 10" Dexstar Galvanized Wheel.

Trailer Wheel Measurements

In this video we are going to describe how to measure a trailer steel wheel. I have two examples here one is a 14 X 5-1/2, 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern steel wheel. This other one is a 16 X 6, 6 lug on 5 steel wheel, and the way to measure to know what size it is, on the diameter of the wheel, in other words what size tire will fit on this wheel is you want to measure from the inside to the inside where the bead seats and protrudes 60 inches. In other words thats the bead seat to the bead seat. You do not want to measure over all length from edge to edge, okay and to measure the width of the wheel. Again you will not want to measure, do not measure overall because it will show 7 inches incorrect.
