Review of Kenda Tires and Wheels AM30780

Demo-Kenda-Tires-and-Wheels-AM30780 Today we're going to review product number AM30780. It is the Kenda 5.30-12 Bias Trailer Tire mounted on a 12'' Dexstar white spoke wheel. First we'll start with the Rim dimension on the wheel. The diameter of this wheel is 12" which will be measured inside-to-inside, the width of this wheel is 4'' wide. This wheel does come with a 4-lug, 4'' bolt pattern. So we will measure the bolt pattern, you go from a center of one hole directly across to the center of the other bolt hole.

In this case, it would be 4''. So that's a 4 on 4" bolt pattern. The weight capacity on this wheel is 1250 pounds at 90 psi. It uses a wheel bolt size of 1/2"-20. Another critical measurement is the pilot-hole diameter which is the large hole in the center.

This is what will go over the hub on your trailer. When we measure the diameter of that, it would be 2.84". This wheel does come with a white powder coat finishes. Now move on to the tire. This tire is a Loadstar, tire size 5.30-12.

This tire is a Load range: C tire which is a 6-ply rated tire. Has a maximum load carrying capacity of 1045 pounds at 80 psi. This tire is a bias constructed tire which will mean the tread the belts will run the length of the tread which will give a little bit firmer ride when compared to a radial design tire. One last measurement, will be the overall diameter, so if we go across from edge-to-edge would be 22''. This tire wheel combo does come with a limited 2-year warranty.

And that should do it for product number AM30780.

Trailer Wheel Measurements

In this video we are going to describe how to measure a trailer steel wheel. I have two examples here one is a 14 X 5-1/2, 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern steel wheel. This other one is a 16 X 6, 6 lug on 5 steel wheel, and the way to measure to know what size it is, on the diameter of the wheel, in other words what size tire will fit on this wheel is you want to measure from the inside to the inside where the bead seats and protrudes 60 inches. In other words thats the bead seat to the bead seat. You do not want to measure over all length from edge to edge, okay and to measure the width of the wheel. Again you will not want to measure, do not measure overall because it will show 7 inches incorrect.
