Today were going to review part number FW16000101. This is the Fulton F2 fully enclosed trailer winch with a strap hand adjustable handle. This winch has a 1600 lb. weight capacity. This rust resistant cast aluminum frame on this fully enclosed winch makes it perfect for marine use. The completely enclosed design is durable and stylish and again, this is a cast aluminum frame which will provide corrosion resistance.
It does come with an aluminum soft grip handle which offers ultimate adjustability. You can install it either way, left-handed or right-handed, and the length of the handle can be adjusted also. There are 2 installation holes. If you put it on the furthest one that would measure 7 inches and if you want it shorter you can put it on the shorter one which would be that one and that would measure 6 inches. So you can adjust the handle length to 6 or 7 inches to balance the torque, speed, or clearance.
It does include the strap anchor. This is the bolt for the handle and then the 3 installation bolts and nuts, and this uses an easy install system and basically on the bottom, what you can do is you would just drop this and slide it to whatever position and then what you would do is just move to whatever position your holes are in and then tighten it down to that location. This is their easy install system. It includes all the hardware. There is an easy to use lever which will engage and disengage the ratchet pole.
Inside is a dual-gear drum and a solid drive gear which will allow for smooth and reliable operation. The handle can be turned in reverse to slowly let out the strap instead of free spooling. There is a rear strap guide on the inside which will help prevent the strap from making contact with the gears. This 20 ft long 2 inch wide strap is included. Just giving you an idea, its 2 inches wide and 20 feet long.
This winch is designed for use with a strap only and basically a strap will have on the other end a hook with a keeper and the way this would install is on the inside right on the hub therell be an opening on the inside. You would slide your strap through that opening, this end would slide through that opening and you take the shaft anchor, put it on there and then when you pull that strap through that shaft anchor will just lodge into that center hub part, right down in here. Then you just wrap it around, that will keep your strap attached to your hub and now the gear ratio on this winch is 4.1:1 and basically what that will mean is the drum gear which is on the inside here, for that to move one complete revolution will take 4.1 revolutions of the handle. The weight capacity again si 1600 lbs. and it does have a limited lifetime warranty and just briefly I just want to show you that would install with that like that. And basically with it in the up position it will crank clockwise, push it down into the other position and it will turn counter-clockwise.
