Today we're going to review part number FT13000301. This is the Fulton single speed winch with a 1300 lb. weight capacity. This Fulton winch is a single speed winch and has a convenient two-way ratchet system. It is made of a carbon steel construction which will offer superior strength and durability for better functioning and increased life span. It does have an oil impregnated shaft bushing and a full length drum bearings which will make for smooth and efficient operation.
It does have a Z-Max 600 finish which will provide increased corrosion resistance. It has a comfort grip handle which makes cranking very easy. And this winch is designed for use with either rope or strap. It is not to be used with a wire cable. Now, the handle length on this would be 8 inches.
The gear ratio on this would be 4.1:1 and basically what that would mean is to get this drum to rotate one revolution you would need to crank the handle 4.1 times around. Now the drum storage on this, you can use a 30 ft by 5/16 rope. The rope would be attached to the side of the drum; you bring it through here and attach it. Or you can use a 20 ft by 2 inch strap. The width on this drum is 2 inches so the strap would fit right in there.
And normally the way you would attach the strap is there's 2 holes here that run completely through. You would just run the bolt through the strap. Insert it through there and then the strap would wrap around the drum. Again, this winch has a weight capacity of 1300 lbs. It comes with a limited 3 year warranty.
And basically this works, it's a two-way ratchet system. So with the this ratchet lever in the down position it will crank in a counter-clockwise position and then if you move this all the way to the up position then it will crank in the clockwise position. Now if you do put the lever in the middle position it will let the drum freewheel. And that should do it for a review on part number FT13000301.
