Today were going to review part number FKW20000103. This is the Fulton Worm Gear Winch. This is a cable only design winch. It does have a weight capacity of 2,000lbs. The Worm Gear Winch will allow for better load control as it has a slow controlled movement, so when the Worm Gear which is like a screw that is attached to the gear as it is turned in either direction. The movement of the gear is very slow and controlled.
And as soon as the crank is let go, there is no free willing options, so it does stay automatically in place. And to lower it down, you just go in the opposite direction. A Worm Gear is commonly used in a position where this might be mounted upside down in a garage and be used to lift like a canoe or kayak and hold it up over your vehicles. There is no minimum load required for this winch. The drum does have oil impregnated bushings to help in the ware.
The handle is included. The handle does have a nice, comfortable grip for easy cranking. A handle would basically install on to the Worm Gear, the lock nut is installed and tightened down to keep it in place. So that would operate on either direction. The handle length is 8 and the gear ratio of this winch would be 41:1 and basically that would mean to move this gear one complete revolution this Worm Gear would have to be turned 41 times.
The hub rub diameter which is this part right here where the cable will layer onto has a diameter of 1 . This winch, the drum will hold a 1/8 wire cable diameter and it would hold 235ft. If you use a 3/16 wire diameter it will hold 100ft. This part does have a limited three-year warranty. And that should do it for part number FKW20000103.
