Today, were going to review part number 5AB-E1621-16K. This is the Reese 5th Airborne Premium Fifth Wheel Air Ride Coupler. The Air Ride Coupler will bolt on to the trailer using the existing holes on your trailer. The way it operates there is an Air Nipple on the side right here. Reese recommends to always carry 10 psi in the air bag inside. It's usually best when you first install it to air it up to 70 to 80 psi.
The 5th Airborne Coupler is designed with an adjustable air spring which can be adjusted by these bolts on top of it. You can adjust the air spring to go forward or backward, whatever is needed for your application. It does have a shock absorber on the inside. It will reduce longitudinal shock, otherwise known as chucking by nearly 60% and it will decrease vertical shock by up to 44%. The way this will operate is the plate right here that will go on to your Fifth Wheel Head.
It has a bolt, an anchor bolt right here, and this plate will flex up and down and use the air spring thats on the inside to cushion the right of your Fifth Wheel. This coupler does have a weight capacity of 16,000 pounds and it does come with a limited three-year warranty. And that should do it for part number 5AB-E1621-16K.
